Fellowship

First Presbyterian Church is bound together is covenant community is many ways. One of those ways is through our fellowship together. Some of the activities through which we grow in our sense of Christian community include:

• Coffee Hour – each week prior to adult Sunday school members gather at 9:45 in the 2^nd floor café for coffee and conversation

• Sunday School Class dinners – Adult Sunday school classes regularly gather for dinners and celebrations together in members homes.

• Summer Church Picnic – Usually held as a local lake, the summer picnic is an opportunity for all ages to relax and enjoy a wonderful outdoor lunch together.

• Fall Barbeque – On the third Sunday in October, the membership gathers following worship to enjoy some of the best BBQ around prepared by some of our own members.

• Annual Family Retreat to Camp Cherokee – parents with younger children are invited to participate in this overnight retreat in the Fall that promotes family life and spiritual growth.

• Biennial Church Family Retreat to Montreat Conference Center – Once every two years the whole church takes off for a retreat to the mountains of North Carolina for the wonderful time of renewal and fellowship
